Configuration

 

Channel View

32 mono Inputs with :

 

16 Stereo Inputs with :

 

(6 x VT's, 2 x Mini-Disk's, 1 x CD, 1 x DAT)

8 Stereo Groups with :

 

8 Mono auxilliairies with :

 

2 Masters with :

 

The above is Studio J's basic / generic configuation "Pinewood config 1". To change this open config 1, save as a new name, then make changes in "Channel View" of Config Tool application.

64 AES inputs available, Studio J using 32 stereo, 8 (2 x) mono's

2 MADI inputs : Card 0 Port 1 16 Mono Mic I/P's from 4 x quad mic pre-amps

32 AES outputs : 1-12 to VT's 1 - 6, 13 onwards to MD, DAT etc.

CD's are patched to one of first 2 inputs on each DSP cards which have SFC's (Sample Frequency Converters).

Studio J has 8 DSP cards.

When configuring desk, check under "Core View" how many DSP cards are required for the desired config.

When configuration complete, generate core data file using "Generate All".

Check in Load Balance control window how many DSP cards actually used.

Check for green button on button bar for system status. Click on button to access system "Surveyor".

 

To change config on-line.

Copy VMC file onto off-line PC.

Re-biuld console off-line.

Save core data file.

Copy folder into "D950systemdb" on C drive of console PC.

Make snapshot by : Press snapshot on desk, click on snapshot tab, click "Make".

Select "Load config" from File Menu.

Load new config.

Select "Open Title" from File Menu.

Re-select original title.

Do not re-load old config, but choose to convert title to new config.

Re-load snapshot as necessary.
